‘New Voices’ sessions at Leeds and Kalamazoo
Annually, ISSEME sponsors ‘New Voices’ sessions by graduate students and young researchers at the International Congress on Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University and at the International Medieval Congress at the University of Leeds.
Chelsea Shields-Más is currently in charge of organizing ISSEME’s New Voices sessions. See below for information on submitting a proposal for 2023.
Kalamazoo ICMS 2024
The 59th International Congress on Medieval Studies will be held in a hybrid format from Thursday, May 9th – Saturday May 11th, at Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo, MI.

Leeds IMC 2024
The 2024 Leeds International Medieval Congress will be held Monday, July 1st – Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at the University of Leeds, UK. The IMC plans to hold an in-person conference in Leeds, with virtual involvement possible for those who are unable to attend in person.

For consideration, please submit a 300-word abstract, along with your contact details, affiliation, and your preference for in-person or virtual presentation.
All proposals (and questions!) should be submitted to Judith Kaup via email. The extended deadline for submissions is September 15th.
