Frequently asked questions

I can’t login / when I try to login as an ISSEME member I get a message as if I am logging on as a WordPress user

This should not happen anymore, but if you encounter this message, press the back button on your browser and try again. It usually works on the second attempt. If not, get in touch for help.

How can I pass on an announcement to ISSEME’s mailing list?

You can use the form below or contact our Executive Director via email with all the relevant details. It is possible to include a PDF or an image, but it is easier if the main text of the announcement is sent in a format that can easily be copied and edited. Appropriate announcements include CFPs, job offers and publication announcements relevant to our field.

My request for a password reset was rejected, what can I do?

This can happen, especially if you have not logged in for a long time. In that case you can get in touch with us via the form below and we will do the password reset manually.

I do not receive the newsletter even though I am an active member.

There may be several reasons for that. Maybe you forgot to sign up for our announcements when you subscribed. Maybe your email account bounced several of our newsletters at some point (because your inbox was full for a while, for instance) and it has been automatically removed from our list as a result. If you have checked that you are indeed a member in good standing at the moment, the best thing to do is to get in touch with the online form: we’ll be able to figure out what the problem is.

The math captcha is not working (there is no math problem on the login page)

A memberpress update apparently created this problem. We are trying to resolve it. In the meantime, you can try logging in through the “Member pages” page, as it seems to be working.
